About Seoullit

Seoullit is a K-beauty review blog with one obsession: the honest Korean verdict that usually gets lost in translation.

Why we exist

Most English-language K-beauty reviews stop at the marketing copy. “No white cast,” “lightweight,” “holy grail.” We wanted the part underneath that, the unfiltered reception Korean users actually give each other.

So we read Korean beauty communities and review sites directly, the places most Western blogs can’t follow because of the language barrier. Hwahae, Olive Young, theqoo, DCInside’s beauty boards, Powder Room, and more. Then we bring that real reception to you in plain English.

How we review

Every Seoullit verdict is built the same way:

  • We synthesize real reviews and community discussion across named Korean platforms. We paraphrase and summarize, we don’t copy posts word for word, and we never fabricate quotes. When we cite a reaction, we tell you where it came from.
  • We add the why. A community split or a recurring complaint usually has a reason in the formula, so we explain the ingredients and UV filters behind it, not just the vibe.
  • We stay honest about the catch. If a beloved product shines on oily skin or stings sensitive eyes, we say so. We’d rather lose a click than your trust.

On affiliate links

Some of our links are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. It never changes our verdict, and we only point you to what the reviews and the ingredients actually back up. You can read the details in our Affiliate Disclosure.
