The brand is named after the bean. The label puts the first bean entry at seventeenth.
The short version: this beplain mung bean sunscreen review reads the order instead of the name. The list runs to forty-seven ingredients, five of them UV filters, and the first filter is fifth.[1] The bean itself appears three times, at seventeenth, eighteenth and twenty-fourth, and the first of those is printed under an older botanical name.[1][2] Niacinamide is sixth, above all three.[1]

The bean appears three times, and not near the top
Seventeenth, eighteenth and twenty-fourth of forty-seven.[1]
Counting it takes a second pass, because the three entries aren’t printed the same way. Positions eighteen and twenty-four say mung bean outright: mung bean extract, then mung bean sprouts extract. Position seventeen says Phaseolus radiatus seed extract. The ingredient dictionary defines that one as an extract of the seeds of Phaseolus radiatus L.[1], and that is a name the taxonomic databases now file as a synonym of Vigna radiata, the species sold as mung bean.[2] Read the label quickly and the bean looks like it starts at eighteen. No percentage is printed next to any of the three.[1]
Does the cooling in the name buy me anything?
Not for protection.
A cooling finish is something you feel. Whether skin temperature changes how well UV filters work is a separate question, and we haven’t found evidence that it does. If a cooling formula is what gets you to reapply at 2pm, that’s a real benefit, just a different one from the number on the front.
The fourth ingredient is not a sixth filter
Butyloctyl salicylate is fourth of forty-seven, and the ingredient page tags it as a solvent rather than a sunscreen.[1]
Its position is why it’s worth a look. The filters begin immediately below it at fifth, and four of the five fall inside the first twelve entries.[1] Each of those five carries the function tag sunscreen on that page. This one carries only solvent.[1] So the five in the table above are all of them.
Am I going to see a white cast from this one?
There are no mineral filters on this list, so the usual cause isn’t present.[1]

Am I likely to get a white cast from this?
There are no mineral filters here and no Tinosorb M, so the usual causes are absent from this list.
